MYOSHINE AKUT is a dietary supplement for horses to support energy metabolism and muscle function, especially in the case of rhabdomyolysis.
Rhabdomyolysis is a form of myopathy. Rhabdomyolysis occurs when muscle fibers are damaged by disease, excessive training, injury or toxic substances. Such damage causes the muscle cells to disintegrate and release their contents into the bloodstream.
Oxidative stress and training:
The muscles of a high-performance horse play a central role in its performance. The focus here is on the hindquarters, croup, back and neck muscles. Heavy muscle work is associated with increased generation of free radicals (reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, RONS). RONS lead to the oxidation of molecules in the body. If such processes take place in an uncontrolled manner, this results in cell-damaging effects.

A vitamin E deficiency can be associated with many clinical problems, one of which is myopathy. Horses affected by myopathy due to vitamin E deficiency often show signs of muscle atrophy (muscle loss), weakness, toe dragging, muscle tremors or generally poor performance.
